    Deleted Sound Button

    I got Ubuntu installed. Yay! But I seem to have accidentally deleted the button on the top panel that lets me control sound. I can't find it on the application list. I know this is a dumb question, but I need help!

    Right click on Top Panel and select Add Applet. Select Volume Control from Applet List.
    There are a lot of other interesting applets in the list. Try a few and if you don't like any, right click on Applet and select Remove.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
