    sharing files

    Hi All,

I have my sharing all set up but some of my folders are set to "allow others to delete and create files and folders" yet when I access the share from another computer and try to use another username that is on the computer it doesn't work. I even added the other users to sambashare group....any suggestions? I don't want to give my password out to other users but I want them to be able to add files/folders to my public folder. Thanks all

Also I don't want to allow guest access so I don't want to just check that box, it just seems unsafe

    Hello,

Are you used smbpasswd -a "username that is on computer"?

    Could you report?:
    cat /etc/samba.smb.conf
    ls -l "shared folder parent"

    Regards
