    Exclamation Alsa Problem

    Hi,
    I am currently writing a program in Python using BASS. I'm not a Linux guru, and am getting the following error:
    Code:
    ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1010snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
    I am running Ubuntu 10.04, with all the latest updates installed. Do you know what the problem is?
