    screen resolution question

I installed Ubuntu on two seperate boxes and one of them switched itself to a higher screen resolution than the other somehow. I prefer the newer screen resolution but don't know how to switch the other box to that resolution. Can anyone help me?

    From your menu...

System > Preferences > Screen Resolution

    Or in later versions:

    System > Preferences > Monitors

Do both machines use the same model of video card and monitor?

If Dan's suggestion doesn't work, post back with more info about the video card and monitor, and what video driver you are using. Post the monitor and video card related sections of your xorg.conf file if you have one.
