[SOLVED] New motherboard. is it compatable?
I am purchasing a new mother board and from what i can see it should work under Ubuntu 10.04. Before I buy it I wanted to see if anyone knows for sure. it is as follows:
ASUS M4A785-M AMD.
hope someone knows if this will be a good motherboard and my other concern is if the on board video will be compatible for Ubuntu for a while.

Should be compatible.
Whether it's a good motherboard depends on your needs and of course on your budget.

used for
Mainly just simple stuff but I would like to have a 3D desktop. I can't afford a whole lot but this will work with my memory and cpu that I already have. the cpu i have is an amd athlon 64 x2 duel core 5200+. my memory are ddr2 dimms. kinda old now.

3D desktop should work but sometimes the animation could be a little bumby.
