Konsole and Kile
When I uninstalled konsole (the KDE terminal) from Linux Mint by
,Code:sudo apt-get remove konsole
I found that kile was removed.
I know that kile needs some KDE libraries. But why would it depend on konsole which is just a terminal emulator.
It's not like if I remove gnome-terminal, all GNOME libraries will be removed??
Am I missing something?

It could just be a quirky developer hang up, there's really no telling....or maybe Mint needs Kile for Konsole to work properly. Can't you just reinstall Kile and be done with it?

Thanks for the reply...
Strictly speaking, the question is more of a curiosity than a real problem...
I uninstalled konsole and then tried to install kile (via apt-get).
This is what I got
Somehow kile seems to need konsole badly...Code:The following extra packages will be installed: konsole Suggested packages: kile-doc
My question is ..why?

It's called a dependency...I'm not sure if this is specific to Mint but I don't have it (Kile) on my system and I use KDE/Konsole.
