    Internet connection won't show

i installed ubuntu 10.04 a few days ago and the installation went fine, but i cannot get a connection for the internet. i have it dual booted with windows xp, in which the internet works perfectly fine. i searched for a solution for like 6 hours the other day and found nothing that worked, i even got that ndiswrapper and set that up.

    a little info:
    Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop
Embark modem - Linksys WRT54652 wireless router
    Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card

i understand that some ppl post information resulting from specific commands done in the terminal, so if theres some commands that i should put in and post back to you please let me know.

also, i know an average amount about computers but barely know anything about linux, so i may not be able to understand some of the real technical talk lol

any help would be greatly appreciated. it looks awesome, i just want to get it fully functional. thanks guys!

    lspci |grep -i wireless
This should show the specific wireless device.

also, its very helpful, but not necessary if you can get a wired connection working, because if you need to download something it will make it much easier than having to download in windows and transfer it somehow

most of the time wireless works out of the box, in case it doesn't usually it just needs a firmware download to work (it can't legally be distributed with linux OS)
