Good question (which add-on pwnd you). You may have to clear out your ~/.mozilla/firefox/*default/extensions directory and add your extensions back one at a time until the effect is duplicated. That will tell you which one is the culprit. Then report to the offending party and mozilla.org.

I uninstalled each add-on one by one, and still the glitch was there.. I ran Boot systems restore, and still the glitch was there.. so I popped-in the DBAN CD, did "autonuke", and reinstalled Ubuntu... Problem solved... Me thinks someone "with a hot coal for a soul" got in through a tiny unresolved exploit hole in Firefox, and hit the OS with a little bug...

Have you noticed in your Firestarter blocked-hits, there aren't anymore microslop hits..? None to mine all morning...

All this PC got hit with this morn was:
    "Time:Oct 14 08:57:12 Direction: Unknown In:eth0 Out: Port:139 Source:24.76.39.251 Destination: Length:52 TOS:0x00 Protocol:TCP Service:Samba (SMB)

No microslop hits in that potty..? Usually there are 20 microslop hits in the first 30-minutes...
I wonders if someone "wearing a plastic gold-colored crown" got wind of me asking if all those microslop hits are to destroy OS's to force market CD sales..?

Hits that damage this computer's OS aren't a concern to me anymore.. I've got two computers running.. one is a basic Ubuntu, just for the Internet.. The other tower, the one with all my files and hobbies, never gets its router wire plugged into the tower except for the odd update or download...
I transfer posts to the Internet PC via flash drive.. and back into the disconnected PC with flash after it has been Clam scanned.. so now the mindless brainless hell-bound zombie gorillas can't touch my private PC anymore... It gives a little sense of "freedom in this hell on earth"...

This little Firefox glitch act strange... Some websites, or just one site, seems to hold onto Firefox, refusing to let be close Firefox with the top bar "X".. but minimize-bar closes it sometimes...

Sometimes the whole top bar vanishes.. and Firefox goes max, filling the whole screen...

Ran DBAN autonuke, and reinstalled.. It happened only once that "X" wouldn't close Firefox... but only after the computer has been net connected for couple hours...
My paranoia says it's a bit of a hack attempt, somehow..? If it is a hack, then it's a tiny hole in Firefox... If it a hole, any idea on how to determine it..?
I wonders what the codes should look like, that configure the "X", and the top bar..?
Is there a Linux software that compares then and now, like Windows file checker did..?
If there is, could it be made a copy, and that run to restore a corrupted OS..?
