Maybe a blinking wifi light is a feature rather than a problem. Does your wifi work?

O h okay, well that would explain alot. the Wifi works but it feels much slower and less responsive. At times it doesnt seem like its connected. I installed the desktop version on this laptop, should i install the netbook version? And what is the difference between the two? They should add a refresh button to the network connections.

Much slower and less responsive than what? How is it slower and less responsive? Which browser are you using? There may be browser settings that could be optimized if you tell us more info about your setup and what you're seeing that is not satisfactory.
I've used a lot of networked OSes, and I've never seen a network refresh button. What would you expect it to do, connect and reconnect, flush buffers? If the network interface card and drivers are doing their job, that shouldn't be necessary. They should add a refresh button to the network connections.

I am on Opera, when I was on Win7 it seemed like the signal strength was better and it would connect right away, with ubuntu sometimes it doesnt even connect and at times it diconnectsw. First thought that went in my mind was that it could be the drivers,
Also the Image quality is poor, it could be the browser, but idk.
