Mythbuntu setup confusion
I have an AMD Athlon xp 2600+ desktop with 512 MB ram, 80 GB HD, and on board sound and video. I want to convert it to a Mythbuntu PVR combined front and back end to watch TV and record 1 or 2 other shows at the same time. In researching this I gather that I will need to bring Ram up to 2 GB, install a graphics tuner card and an Nvidia 8XXX or better graphics card. Will I need 2 tuner cards and 2 graphics cards or 3 of each to watch one channel and record 2 others? I am not an audiophile, so will I need to add 1,2,or 3 sound cards? How do you fit all that into a single case?
Thanks for your help, I have never used a TIVo, so am unclear what I need. Some sites talk about HD resolution, others 1024x768, and others about 480x480. What do I really need just to watch and record show like the old video tape days?
