Boot into windows. Uninstall Ubuntu 10.04 wubi install

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide#How do I uninstall Wubi?

Then download wubi for 10.10 Ubuntu while in Windows. Install Ubuntu 10.10 with wubi installer for Ubuntu 10.10.

Sounds like you borked Windows Bootloader. If you have Windows CD. Then fixmbr using Windows.

How to fix MBR in Windows XP and Vista

Another Option for fixing Windows MBR is http://dir.linuxforums.org/category/63/program/487/

OK there is no way of this

Remember I can't get passed BIOS soon as the BIOS screen comes the error comes so I got no option of going in to windows, I also tried Booting menu and selecting C drive but no go. Second I got kinda angry so where Linux was stored previously I deleted all those files to see if it would resolve it but it won't, I am thinking shall I install this Ubuntu live CD I got here now?

    Maybe it will work thanks

    system recovery wont show either

In your first post, you ask about updating your wubi install from 10.04 to 10.10.
rokytnji gives you a link regarding problems with this.
Your next post doesn't make any sense? What were you too late for?
Are you getting a message saying "no such device" immediately after booting the machine, before you get to any boot menu?

You can't do recovery mode from what? windows? Which version of windows do you have? Do you have a full windows installation CD for whatever version you have?
You said you got an Ubuntu disk to work, what does that mean? You were able to boot an Ubuntu Live/Installation CD?

What boot menu did you have to select "C drive"?
Had you been booting using Ubuntu Grub bootloader, windows bootloader? If you were using Ubuntu Grub to boot and deleted the Ubuntu partition, you have deleted Grub boot files necessary for booting. If you were booting through windows bootloader, it won't matter.

To get any realistic help here, you need to tell us first what your goal is. Dual-boot, if so what - Ubuntu and ?? Do you just want Ubuntu?

Also would be helpful to know status at present. From your last post, it would seem your computer is now in the brick stage.

The more details you can give about your problem, the sooner it will be resolved.

OK here what I meant I was too late to see his post and installed ubuntu 10.10 and got the error No such device

Yes I am getting the error no such device straight after booting the BIOS, meaning I can't get to the boot menu.

My manufacturer left a recovery partition to recover windows vista and every thing to it's original state. However when the BIOS comes up it says Press F11 for Recovery I tried this to recover the system, but it still brings up that message.

Yes I have a ubuntu CD and was able to boot a live installation

When my BIOS comes up it says Press ESC tor boot options I tried to boot the C drive where windows vista is installed but still it gave me that error straight afterwards.

I do not know which boot loader I was booting from I am guessing it was Grub.

Other thing was that I put in Ubuntu live CD I deleted the Ubuntu partition as well.

Well my goal is now to totally remove UBUNTU and the loader and stick with windows vista. for now

My computer is currently still at the same error screen straight after the BIOS screen I get the error No such Device.

    Thanks Hope this helps.

Wubi Ubuntu Asim2011 does not sit on a partition or effect Windows Bootloader or recovery Partition on a Laptop.

Wubi Ubuntu is a internal file that sits in programs folder in Windows. Not a Partition. So advice given was with the assumption from first post that this was a wubi install. Because wubi is not my forte (I only run Linux, not Windows normally). All I can guess is when you Upgraded you snafued something big.

    Post the output of

    Code:
    sudo fdisk -l
while running Ubuntu Live CD so members can look at your partitions.

This is the weirdest wubi post I have ever responded to because wubi install should not effect system recovery partition for windows or effect booting into windows either. I can understand not being able to boot into Ubuntu after a wubi upgrade. Also. Did you follow the link to the bug reports in my first response to you and read up on that bug report also.

It is 2:30AM here in my neck of the woods. I am gonna crash now.
