    Question No GUI Ubuntu

    SPECS:
    Ubuntu 10.1 x64
    NVidia Geforce GT 220

    Recently installed ubuntu on my machine, and because i have dual monitor wanted to use both of them i decided to try and install the driver.
    Thing is i'm a noob at Linux xD

    Now when i start it it starts in command propt.
    So i login etc and type "startx" and i get an error saying there is no monitors

    Any help

    Hi and Welcome !

    Have you plugged in both Monitors? First of all, use only one Monitor for a while and check if Display works fine or not.

    Post the contents of /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, if there is any.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
