    Hi all,
i configured DSL Connection using my broadband username & Password and while Connecting to net i used to click that Dsl connection to connect to net......but my connection does not last for long...it gets disconnected and shows wired connection s connected....so i have to click again(DSL Connection) to connect to net...... sometimes even i click for two or three times ....it wont connect...

i also need any other ways to configure DSL Connection in Command line ......do i need to configure PPPOE with username and password in command line using (sudo ifconfig pppoeconf)

I assume your computer is connected directly connected to the DSL modem? In my experience, some modems require the PPOE to be configured by the host computer, and others may have the ability to do that internally, allowing you to communicate with their control software via a web browser. My wife's DSL modem for Earthlink works either way, but best when the modem handles the connection cruft. That way, all you need is for your system to be able to talk to it as a network peer. In any case, the modem documentation, or the manufacturer's web site, should have instructions how to deal with this.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
