    still no internet!

    Hi all,

I know this has been beat to death, but my situation is kind of unique from the others..

Just installed Ubuntu 10.10, and the hardwire internet connection (eth0) will not connect. Im using IPV4, DHCP etc connected to a verizon fios router.

I do not have internet access, and when i tried to install from the CD i got the E: error, not found. My wireless does not work either, it insists it is missing firmware.

I can not install ndiswrapper because i have no internet.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello and Welcome.
Check the wireless link in my signature to get started. Post your results back here. That link has some useful tips you can try. We need to know which chipset is on the card and then we can go from there. We'll try to get the eth0 working first.
