    Hi there,

It might not be possible to do what you are trying to do, it depends on your phone. Can you post a link to the make and model of your phone so we can see what it is capable of.

Also, when you say you have connected them together, what are you able to do already?

    Hi there,

I've read the manual for your phone and I can't see any references to using a PC internet connection to browse the Internet from your phone, even with the supplied software and windows.

Unless you can point us to something that suggests otherwise then I think you might not be able to do what you want.

Browsing the Internet on your cell phone should be a matter of selecting the right options on your cell phone to get on the Internet and not trying to connect through your Laptop connection. Here in USA, I have a plan with my Cell phone service provider that allows me to browse the Internet for a monthly data fee that is separate from the voice (phone) charges...yours may be the same. I suggest that you check out the website of your service provider.

My question is why do you want to do this? If your PC/laptop is connected to the internet, why not use that to browse? It will certainly be a more worthwhile experience. Usually, the connection is the other way around - laptop using cell phone as broadband modem to access the internet. I do that all the time when I am somewhere I can't get WiFi on my laptop. In any case, you need to see if there is any software for your phone that can see the PC/laptop over the USB port as a network connection. You also may need some software on the PC/laptop to forward internet data over the USB connection to the phone.

    thanks but in my phone,

Settings>>Connectivity>>USB>>Advanced>>Internet Access ...there is an option "via computer". After selecting it I tried to use internet on my phone via PC broadband but it doesnt connect. In some of the google search there are a few steps to make a new connection in the computer but I m not getting it.

There is no reference in the manual thats why m asking here at the forum.

Well, obviously the phone permits this, but the issue remains of getting the computer to support that method of connection. What does the phone documentation say about that (if anything)? Have you looked on the phone manufacturer's or phone service provider's web site(s) for more information if not in the phone handbook?

There's nothing related to this neither in phone manual nor in the phone maunfaturer's website.

Sorry, but I don't find anything about this either. It may be one of those "features" you cannot use...
