    Exclamation I NEED HELP TO INSTALLING no-ip

    Ok i just recently downloaded noip-duc-linux.tar.gz and the file is in my downloads folder, and i extracted it now theres a noip-2.1.9-1 in my downloads folder, ive already tried going to the noip directory as root and running the make command and i get the error No targets specified and no make file found. stop. then i try the command make noip-2.1.9-1 and get the error: No rule to make target 'noip-2.1.9-1'. Stop., can someone plz help me with installing the noip client on my ubuntu machine?? Thanx guys.

    Before make, you run a script called configure
    with the command ./configure

    if it completes without errors, it will create the makefile.

    But you don't need to compile it yourself. Go to the system
    menu, and open synaptic and install it from there, from
    the ubuntu repository.

    i checked and it says no-ip is used but how do i open the graphical interface?

    Did you get it installed? Noip is in the Ubuntu repos.
    Ubuntu -- Package Search Results -- noip.

    To configure, according to the Arch package at least, do
    Code:
    noip2 -C -Y

    Hey...

    What I did was

    sudo apt-get install no-ip

    Then there was a wizard where I had to enter Username Password and groupname if existed!
