My Huawei E220 USB modem is unable to keep connection under 9.10. When I have a connection and do something else on the computer, like e.g. trying to update or open the browser, it gets disconnected automatically.
It works fine with 10.04, but with this version unfortunately audio and video aren't working.

The following message appears:

"Unable to mount Connect Box
Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 32:
mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write protected,
mounting read only is not a valid block device
mount: /dev/sr0: can't read superblock"

Is there a way to get it working on 9.10, preferably without a connection to the internet?
