missing important files
hello, i am new to Linux, before I installed kubuntu, I had windows;
I had lots of files on 2 separated hard disks (C & D) , after the installation
I have searched for my files (pictures, music etc.) and it was disappeared
in dolphin file manger I see only home, root , network and bluetooth .
I really need access to those files and I don't have a clue how to get to it,
maybe its been deleted or formatted during the installation ?

Hello and welcome!
Check your /etc/fstab file to see if the extra drives and/or partitions are listed there. You can check this HowTo for more on working with the fstab file under Ubuntu:

what this mean?
I opened the file but its show me this, and i didn't understand this....
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid -o value -s UUID' to print the universally unique identifier
# for a device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name
# devices that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc nodev,noexec,nosuid 0 0
/dev/sda1 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0

You can find some instructions for using Foremost here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DataRecovery#Foremost
If you need to recover partitions and/or data files, other popular options for recovery include TestDisk and PhotoRec:
TestDisk - CGSecurity
PhotoRec - CGSecurity
Instructions for using them can be found on their website.
Good luck with any recovery efforts.oz
