[SOLVED] Can't get my printer to work.

My printer is connected to another PC. If I run Windoze I can do a network connect, but with Linux, even though I've set up the samba connection I can't print. If I send a print job I can hear the printer "getting the info", but then it just hangs. Please, I could use some help! Having to load the print job onto a thumb drive, shoving the drive into the host PC, etc. is not what a PC geek wants to do.

I assume because of where you posted you are using Ubuntu or one of its derivatives?
What version of windows are you using?
What is the printer manufacturer and model?
Your printer is connected to the windows machine?

Yes, I am using Mint-8 dual-booting with WinXP.
The other PC is just WinXP and the printer is connected to that one via a USB cable.
The model is HP Deskjet F-4135.
Both PCs are using an Actiontec DSL/Router. Mine is wireless, the other is connected via an ethernet cable.
I might add that if I have booted mine into WinXP I have no problem printing, but to print a job while running Linux (99% of the time) it is easier to load the file onto a thumbdrive and plug it into the other PC to print, rather than logging off Linux and rebooting into Windows.

A lot of searching (via Google) gave me the fix. It was unchecking the bidirectional box for the Port settings in my Windows printer properties.
