Samba configuration issue
Hello everyone.. This is my first post so go easy on me.
I just recently took the plunge and installed Ubuntu 10.10 onto my server and everything was going just fine until I tried to setup samba.
I can set it up by editing smb.conf with no issues, but I'm wondering why I cannot do it via the GUI. When I try to launch the Samba Administrator from System > Administration > Samba, I get a password prompt. When I enter my user password it fails.
I tried using "sudo smbpasswd -a USERNAME" where I replaced the USERNAME with my username. I entered my password twice with no error.
Tried it again and it still fails to open the Samba configuration window... Any thoughts?
