Still hardy 8.04, Radeon xpress 200m & flash problem

Hello, I'm new here and hoping for some ideas.
I have an older Tosh A105 with Radeon Xpress 200m video.
Flash is now crashing when I try full screen mode.
watching movies in the sm box just does not work for long.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue ?
I am holding off updating to 10.10 due to the age of my sys. and
reading that others are still having issues with it. Other than the video
problem 8.04 works great for me and I'm not wanting to rock the boat.

    Thanks,
    The NG

There's an open Ubuntu bug on this (672225). Discussion on Ubuntu forums says disabling hardware acceleration in the Flash right-click menu solves it for some, not for others.

Backup your old flashplayer in 8.04 which is in

    /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so

and download newest flashplayer from Adobe

Extract downloaded libflashplayer.so and place into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

Can't swear to this that it will work for you. But worth a try.
