Question No sound at all in Ubuntu 10.10

Hi all, I've installed the new version of Ubuntu hoping, I didn't have this kind of troubles.

I've searched through several forums for the answer without luck, I hope here, I can find some light.

All the info is in the zip file with the txt (i couldn't post any url with the info)

I hope this information is enough to start something.

    Thanks all and regards.

I notice you have both analog and digital cards - might be as simple as making sure the one you are using is not muted.

Check with alsamixer in a terminal - you can F6 to change cards

I suspect there's a way to do so with a pulseaudio app as well.

For anyone else coming along this is the aplay information from the zip file ...
    Code:
    aplay -l
**** Lista de PLAYBACK dispositivos hardware ****
    tarjeta 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], dispositivo 0: ALC662 rev1 Analog [ALC662 rev1 Analog]
    Subdispositivos: 1/1
    Subdispositivo #0: subdevice #0
    tarjeta 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], dispositivo 1: ALC662 rev1 Digital [ALC662 rev1 Digital]
    Subdispositivos: 1/1
    Subdispositivo #0: subdevice #0
tarjeta 1: HDMI [HDA ATI HDMI], dispositivo 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
    Subdispositivos: 0/1

    aplay -L

I had the same problem with 10.4 make sure your input and output of your hardware configuration is right. Mine didn't work until I got two updates then It started working without me doing anything.
