I have tried the latest version of Ubuntu, there were a few but important clashes with printer and wifi and some usb functions. It may be me or my system, but I was given a magazine at xmass with a Karmic Koala disc attached version 9. 40/50 I,m not sure as all my friends are using it at the moment, if I ever get it back I will update the posting. The koala version is only the 2nd version of linux to recognise my usb wifi, plus my Samsung laser printer. ( the supplied samsung linux driver was a waste of time). if you have some weird equipment attached to your system I would try this version of ubuntu first.
Everything I have got will work on it just by following the instructions in the gui. It includes u.s.b. skype, printers H.P.laserjet, samsung clp300, Logitech wifi keyboard and wifi mouse. You can download it from sourceforge and try it for free or buy the linux mag and get the full blown job with the extra bits and bobs.
