This is a double question but on the same subject. So one at a time.

I fairly often have to export files to computers that run Windows, and often there are fonts that show up wrong, I have installed msstcorefonts, but none of the mimimum fonts from the package show up (Libreoffice). From what I have read, they should show up after installing msstcorefonts.

If I try "locate fonts" in Terminal a long list shows up, but nothing that looks like the Windows fonts. So the first question is how to see/install or what is necessary to use them.

The second question is related. In the fonts list in Libreoffice or gedit there are many fonts I will never use. Even chinese characters. Is there a way to shorten the list to show only those I might use?
