    A few problems

I am having an issue burning cds as i use the Brasero disc burner program and every so often when i start to burn a cd a message keeps popping up saying search for suitable plugins and after i run the search it says no package available. The most frequent one they keep asking for is msword decoder. Can anyone help me out with this issue or tell me where i can find all the plugins or packages that i might need to burn cds without this problem?

Hi and welcome to the forum. One of the best disc burning tools for Linux and similar operating systems is K3B. Install that and see how you get along.

There is an application called mencoder (its text based and a part of the Mplayer package). That should help you merge video files.

    Try avidemux
Has a graphical interface and allows you to convert frame rates and has other options.
Works like a charm once you get used to how it works.
Essentially do this. Load first file. Then click on append to add the second file.
Add job to job list and give it a name.
Now go to job queue and run the job.
You can also use avidemux to cut out frames then join the video back together.
