    Exclamation Connection problem!

    Hey guys today I installed my new ubuntu, But I'm having an internet connectivity problem.
    When i click on the network icon I see "No network devices available" But when I run lsusb in a terminal I see this:
    Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
    Bus 003 Device 002: ID 067c:e240 Efficient Networks, Inc. Speedstream Ethernet Adapter E240
    Code:
    Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 093a:2510 Pixart Imaging, Inc. Hama Optical Mouse
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 05a4:9869 Ortek Technology, Inc.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
So how can i get linux to know my device plus I'm connecting to my modem VIA
    USB!! not via ethernet cables.
