    Compiz-Fusion Install Errors

    Hey there,

    I'm new to Linux and struggling a bit in my attempt to install Compiz-Fusion. I'm running 10.10 and I've gone through a few tutorials and always end up with a few errors. I can't seem to find any help in regards to this one:


    cody(at)ParkRanger:~$ sudo apt-get -y remove compiz-core desktop-effects
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    E: Unable to locate package desktop-effects

    Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm a windows convert and am still trying to understand the install/compile side of linux.

    For possible later reference I have a 965 Express Family Chipset in my Compaq Presario c700

    No worries. I completely forgot about using the Software Center to get CCSM!
