hi guys,
i have installed ubuntu server 10.10 on my computer but the problem is when i restart computer it takes me to the terminal(black command screen) i mean i dont see anything visual ?
how i can switch to visual?i need answer as soon as possible.

Do you mean the screen is completely black and you can't see anything at all?
Or do you mean you're left with a console login prompt and you're looking to have it start a graphical environment at boot?
Ubuntu Server by default doesn't come with a graphical environment as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure that reed9 is correct about the server edition not coming with a GUI. You can add one if you wish, but some server users consider a GUI on a server to be a security risk.

hi guys,
yes thats wat i mean it takes me to console no graphical environment. it doesnt include graphical interface .i made a research and then i have installed KDE.
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
