    taskbar icons

    hi guys,

    how can i add icons on the top taskbar?for example how i can add LAN Conection icon and sound icon?i tried add to panel option but there is no sound or network option.

    its ubuntu 10.10 server if thats wat you mean.well i found out how to add sound icon but still dont know how to ad lan icon.

    i did so
    right click -add to panel indicator applet.

    Just guessing here, but you might need to install the gnome-applets package if you haven't done so already.

    The above is assuming that you've installed Gnome to your server. If you've added KDE4 instead, I believe it's the kdeplasma-addons package that would give you what you want. Perhaps someone will lend a correction if that's wrong.

    Xfce4 has some plug-ins that can be installed as well if that's the GUI that you've added to your server.
