Although I am a HUGE Linux Ubuntu fan, I am at the end of my rope with attempting to configure a touchscreen on a used Panasonic Toughbook CF-28, mk3, 1GHz. The particular laptop has Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I am looking for any step-by-step assistance for this particular problem....no kidding. I have read the Panasonic Toughbook forums and all the tech tips I can find but the end result is the same.....I end up trashing my current install and reload the OS from the beginning. What basic steps must I follow to have my OS detect my hardware?

Or am I destined not to get my touchscreen working?
