    How To Set Keyboard Layout For Ubuntu Live USB

    Hello

    Just recently started to use ubuntu live usb 10.10, Everything is good except some of the symbols
    such as the # is not the same as it appears on my keyboard, I was not asked for keyboard settings only when I boot up what language I want to use and if i would like to make a full install

    How do I configure the keyboard layout?

    system preferences keyboard, layouts - add layout

    though if you are just using the live image then you'll need to do so each time unless you've a persistent usb image

    when you install you'll be asked what language/keyboard layout to use
