How do I install a .git driver?

So I have windows 7 and I have VMWare and'm trying to crack uh... my own WEP code with bt4. I have a broadcom 802.11n wireless card in my laptop. When I enter iwconfig it shows eth0 and l0, and says 'no wireless extensions' for both of them. I think I need to install a linux driver for the card, but it's a .git file. (found here: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging-next-2.6.git ). So how do I get the virtual ubuntu thing to recognize my card?

The .git file is just a pointer for the git source code management system to figure out how to download a git repository. It isn't the driver/codec/whatever. So, you are trying to use the wireless card from a virtual machine? Not what you want to do. You will run the wireless from Win7 (I assume that works) and tell VMware to bridge the VM's network to the host system (Win7). Then it will look just like a supported ethernet connection and you should not have to do anything to use it, other than make sure it is enabled and connected in the host OS.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
