getting usb cam to work

problem is is there doesnt seem to be inf file for wrapper
windows installs it and has a .sys driver file
also install cd is exe application
no .inf file on cd

What are you trying to do with the webcam?
Have you tried if it works using Cheese?

sudo apt-get install cheese

Also, what webcam do you use? Is it a builtin in a laptop??

hey cheese works but doesnt work for flash player in chat room. adobe says cant find cam. although it does pick up the mic. it is a usb cam+mic combo
