    Turn off problem.

    When i turn my computer off via linux it seems only the operating system turns off and not the actual computer? (same if i try to hibernate etc)

    is there a solution to this

    How do you know that machine doesn't switch of completely on shutdown? Can you give us a bit more info?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
