    installation usb for ubuntu-10.10-netboo.iso

When I created the istallation-usb by the terminal command
    #dd if=xxxx.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=4M
    for debian-squeeze or opensuse-11.3-Gnome-LiveCD
I could smoothly install the OS on my netbook.
But when I created it for ubuntu-10.10-netbook.iso
my netbook did not recognize it and booted to the hard disk.
Why? And will be my proper step.
PS. Unetbooti does not have the option for the netbook.iso.
    Thanks for help.

I had the same issue; you have to download and use their usb utility. Not sure why, though
