No disk access after multi-seat set up

I have successfully set up a multi-seat configuration using 2 nvidia cards with 2 instances of X running at the same time.

Thing is now, I can't access my external hard drive or any usb thumb drives I plug in. Normally when they would just open up after I plug them it, I get an error saying "unable to mount, Not Authorized"

Does anyone have a clue how I can regain access to this?

I am using Linux Mint 10

    Hi and Welcome !

A few Ubuntu/Mint users have reported this bug. Which kernel version are you using?
Post the output of uname -a here.

Open ~/.xinitrc file and replace this line
    Code:
    exec gnome-session
    with this
    Code:
    exec ck-launch-session gnome-session
Save file and login again or reboot.

This file does not exist in my home folder, or anywhere else on my system (I searched for it).

I would also like to add that I tried editing /etc/group to put myself in the "disk" group, and some other groups, but did not work.

I don't have access to Ubuntu 10.10 box right now. I will let you know soon. Meanwhile, I hope someone else will chime in with suggestion.

    *Bump*

Could really use some suggestions if anyone has any. Again I can't access any other drive than the file system drive. It tells me I am "Not Authorized" to mount.

Also, I can't seem to do anything with Users and Groups. I can change a password but when I click to add a user, it does nothing.
