Grub2 - Menu.lst file not there ?!
I've looked over many posts, they all say menu.lst, for using images, but my Kubuntu 10.10 does not have menu.lst in the /boot/grub/ directory, and even in Kubuntu 10.10 docs it talks about it, where did it go? I wanted to use another Splash Screen for Grub instead of the default black and white one, here's a link to the one I want : SG-Daedalus-1.0-Grubsplash KDE-Look.org it says I have to add some sort of image line to /boot/grub/menu.lst Getting frustrating, Ubuntu is supposed be very simple, yeah right, LOL.. And if I have to make my own menu.lst, forget it, I don't know crap about grub.

Kubuntu is using GRUB2 instead of GRUB and there isn't any menu.lst. GRUB2 uses grub.cfg file which is generated by scripts.
Check this tutorial on GRUB2. Section 8 (Grub 2 Splash Images & Theming)It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
