[SOLVED] Compiz window animations not working

I've recently installed Ubuntu on my laptop, and I installed Compiz from the software center. I went to the animations section and set different animations, but they don't take effect. I've tried disabling them and re-enabling, I've tried restarting, but nothing is working. What can I do to fix this?

It already has Compiz selected. I have the wobbly windows, and got it to work with the simple settings manager, but it still won't work with the full manager, which is what I want.

Most likely your graphics card (or the driver) doesn't support the advanced animations. Can you tell us what graphics card and driver you are using?

I finally figured it out. Apparently I can't just click on the animation under "random effects", I have to click on "New" under "Animation Selection". Thanks for leaving suggestions.
