Blank screen on startup - a Toshiba problem?
Hello,
About one time out of ten, my laptop (Toshiba A-135) will not fully startup, and instead displays a black, blank screen (does not display ubuntu logo). I have to force it to shut down, and it starts up fine after that (usually after giving me the option of starting up normally or in recovery mode).
I'm using Maverick Meerkat, and have made some adjustments to my system that I think might be affecting this problem. I've disabled my ACPI settings (due to issues with the sleep/hibernate function) and have to run a script on startup that allows me to use my USB ports (without which my laptop does not recognize them).
Would any of these settings have anything to do my startup problem? Has this ever happened to anyone else with a Toshiba?
Thanks.
