    make bootable usb from iso


    I need to boot the ultimate boot cd from an usb stick. Do I just copy the iso image to the usb key?

    How do I make the usb stick bootable?

    You can copy the iso file to a usb stick and boot it with Grub2 after you install Grub2 to the usb or you can boot it from your hard drive if you have Grub2 installed on it.

    You can go to Pendrivelinux site at the link below which has UBCD on its list.

    You don't give enough information for any more detailed advice.

    You can merely install to your USB drive as you would any hard drive. Be sure to apply Grub to the USB drive in order to make it bootable. Ultimate sounds big so you may have to ensure that your USB is big enough.

    Insert CD, USB stick, then go to the menu...

    System->Administration->USB Startup Disk Creator

    and follow the instructions.
