I'm having a weird problem just when I try to play music/videos. The song/video stops playing after a couple minutes, but everything works fine on my computer. This happens with videos on websites and files being playing in media programs(which I've tried several different ones now). My speakers are pretty old and need to be replaced soon, but I didn't think that would really cause this sort of issue. I've tried various suggestions for other sound issues, but haven't really seen anyone with this exact problem.
Any help would be very appreciated! thanks!

Is it just the sound, or sound and video that quits working? To trouble shoot, I would make sure all cables, sound card, graphics card, and ram are properly seated, and any internal fans are running. If this is a problem which just started on an installation which was previously running fine, I would suspect a loose or failing card, an overheat problem, or possibly a power supply problem. If everything looks fully seated, try leaving the case off and see if the increased airflow helps. While in your case, blow out any dust.
