I don't know whether this works for you , give a try -
    sudo apt-get update
and then try to install packages.

thank you for your help ,I trid it but no use.
    I get the same error
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Then I used this command line
    sudo rm -rf /usr/bin/dpkg/info/*
I want to delete the error display ...and to my surprise ,that worked .there is no error display when I install software by apt-get install ..
but I want to know how is this error occur ? Could anyone tell me ?
