Hello ,I have just upgraded my ubuntu to 11.04 .After it is done ,I could install any software ,the error is as follows:

Hello ,I have just upgraded my ubuntu to 11.04 .After it is done ,I could install any software ,the error is as follows:
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
I wonder what is the meaning of the error,and how to solve it ..
could anyone help me ?

I don't know whether this works for you , give a try -

thank you for your help ,I trid it but no use.
I get the same error
Then I used this command lineE: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
I want to delete the error display ...and to my surprise ,that worked .there is no error display when I install software by apt-get install ..sudo rm -rf /usr/bin/dpkg/info/*
but I want to know how is this error occur ? Could anyone tell me ?
