    JAVA in Ubuntu 10.10 for browsers

    I am facing trouble installing java for chrome/firefox.

    I am a beginner, so cannot understand much of errors.
    I used terminal to install using instructions from java's download site.
    Something RPM fails while installation but displays DONE.

    Kindly Help!
