Ubuntu live won't boot.
Ubuntu live will not work. This is a Dell Inspri0n 1764 core i5 64 bit laptop. When doing a live install using 32 bit Unbuntu 11.04 the computer screen freezes as Ubuntu is loading. When using the 64 bit version, Ubuntu 11.04 will boot but when it gets to the desktop the screen will turn off and on then it will go off, then nothing. I am running Windows 7 home premium, an ati 4330, and an intel m430. I hope this is enough info.
thanks.

Have you tried Text Mode installation? Ubuntu LiveCD is not configuring Graphics Card correctly and dropping at Blank Screen. In case text mode doesn't work, try Ubuntu Alternate Installation CD. It has text based installer and it works fine with most of the Graphics Cards because of minimal graphical usage.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
