Tethering Issue with Kubuntu 8.04
Device: Unlocked Samsung Impression (SGH-A877) via T-Mobile (Tethered via USB)
OS: Kubuntu 8.04
Issues: Large download stalls, download has to be restarted, low bandwidth speed.
Average Bandwidth: 15Kb/s. If I'm lucky, it will SOAR to 26Kb/s. From the same room in my house, the bandwidth for Windows XP Pro S2 is 100+Kb/s. What's the catch?

This XP box is the same as the ubuntu box, or a different one?
Do you have speed issues when copying a file from one partition to another? (in large files the cache might become full, if the disk isn't fast enough).

Two separate hard SCSI Hard Drives. To play my favorite game, I have resorted to using Windows; as WINE refuses to cooperate. With Windows, my bandwidth is good but not with Kubuntu. No issues transferring files...just the bandwidth and download speed of Kubuntu/Tethered.
