After Boot sound is mostly from left speaker
I have been using linux for a while now and I have a problem where when I reboot my laptop VAIO-NS140 the sound is coming mostly out of the left speaker. When I got to the mixer I see the balance is off and have to fix it in order for me to have a normal sound. Is there a way to save the balance setting for my sound so every time I boot I do not have to adjust it?

Which sound system and mixer are you using?

Using kmix and sound system is Realtek ALC262.
I did try and Make the Pulseaudio mixer start at startup but it does not seem to help.

I ran alsamixer and saved the settings to overcome its previous habit of starting up muted. That's on an elderly Fedora system, though (though it wasn't elderly when I installed it!).

I have alsa and pulse installed on my RHEL6 system. I use the alsamixer to fix this sort of problems.
