    Ubuntu Installation Error

While installing Ubuntu 11.04, half-way through the installation, I get the following messages:

    BusyBox v1.17.1 (ubuntu 1:1.17-10ubuntu1) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs) mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on //filesystem.squashfs failed: Input/output error
Can not mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs udevd[75]: worker [192] unexpectedly returned with status 0x0100

    udevd[75]: worker [192] failed while handling 'devices/virtual/block/loop0'

Can someone advise what I should do?

    Thank you.

    Hello and Welcome.
I think you might have a bad or dirty CD/DVD.... try cleaning it and if that doesn't help you might try the CD/DVD on another machine to verify that it does indeed work correctly. After that I would suggest that you re-download and check the MD5sums before you burn to disk.
See this link for lots of good info on MD5sums and CD/DVD burning.
