I recently has a post on here asking for help with a local area fileserver. Thanks everyone so much for all the help, it is up and running beautifully.

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge with dyndns.org and online file servers.
I applied for the dyndns service and I pointed them to the IP address verizon gave me, ie 74.322.xx.xx, but i am stuck from here. The local ip of the machine is 192.168.1.50. The router is an actiontec MI424WR something rev F, and I am running in Ubuntu.

Only caviat is, I cant use ddclient because i already tried that and really messed upthe install so unless someone can show me how to completely uninstall it and when i install have the set up prompt happen again, it must be a different route.
