    [solved] Cannot find networks on Lucid Lynx (10.04)


    I have just installed Lucid Lynx on my laptop computer and cannot find any wireless networks, despite the fact that I know that they are available (I can find them in windows).

    I installed via Wubi using the default environment as my hard drive is a windows dynamic drive meaning i can only boot off one partition.

    I havent had a chance to try a wired network and i think my problem could be network drivers.

    i am brand new to linux and not sure what diagnostics to run.

    EDIT: wireless card did not have drivers, problem is now solved - kind of

    Wubi -- why make linux dependent on Windows?

    Because my computer came with a windows dynamic disk for some stupid reason and i have to delete windows If I want to boot ubuntu any other way.
