    USB Modem

I bought a 3G Mobile handset (Spice G-6550). It has the option to be used as MODEM.
When I connect the phone to my PC (Ubuntu 10.10), thrugh USB, the device does not show up in the Devices.
I checked LSUSB and there it was showing:
    Bus 002 Device 007; Device Id d324;9003

There was no name after it.

On connecting the Mobile with the PC, it shows the Memory card contents and starts charging.

Now what settings/ configuration do I need to make so that I can use the mobile as a MODEM.

Usually you need to enable the tethering feature of the phone. Check the configuration settings on the phone and read the documentation to determine what you need to do.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
